Slide Scanning Prices

Starting at Just 99 Cents Per Slide

This pricing page is very in-depth. If you are looking for a general overview of our slide scanning services, please click here.

With prices starting at just 99 cents per slide, we offer slide transfers for just about any budget. We offer three different packages:

The Access Package

Starting at 99 Cents per Slide ($29.95 Minimum)

We scan each slide at a striking 5300 PPI. That’s the equivalent of 37.5 megapixels, large enough to print at up to 16 x 24 inches. To put it another way, that’s over four times the resolution of the latest 4k UHD TVs.

Each slide has fading correcting. We correct black and white tones that have faded to gray, and restore them back to a true black and a true white respectively.

Every slide is saved as a high quality JPEG file onto a USB flash drive for you. These files are compatible with all major social media platforms, can be printed, emailed, and saved to services like Google Photos or iCloud.

The Access Plus Package

Starting at $1.19 per Slide ($29.95 Minimum)

This is our most popular option. You get everything listed above and more.

In addition to the fade correction included in The Access Package, we will individually correct fading on each primary color. This allows color to be partially or fully restored on slides that have faded so that they have developed a red or blue tint.

Every original slide carousel, tray, or box will get its own contact sheet. This is a collection of images that represents the contents of that set of slides. This allows for more rapid browsing when you are trying to find a specific set of photos.

The Archive Package

Starting at $1.49 per Slide ($49.95 Minimum), Plus $99.95 One Time Data Management Fee

Designed for the demanding requirements of long-term preservation, this package is best suited for businesses, organizations, photography professionals, and enthusiasts. You get everything above, plus the resources necessary to keep your slides archived for decades to come.

You will receive preservation master files created to Library of Congress specifications. They are uncompressed TIFF files, 7500x5000, 16 bit per channel (48 bit per pixel) ProPhoto RGB. This means that, in theory, our slide scans can contain over 280 trillion unique colors, including colors so vibrant that they fall outside of what the human eye can perceive. Even if your slides contain colors so incredibly saturated that it pushed the original film to its chemical limits, we can still preserve that color for you.

In addition to the TIFF file, you will receive a PSD file containing the original, linear scan, the dust and scratch correction layer (if applicable), and the RGB corrective curves used to restore faded slide color. The PSD is also 16-bit ProPhoto RGB.

All original carousels, trays, boxes, and papers included are photographed in high resolution to preserve any writing, notes, or supplementary documentation.

Full technical metadata is saved alongside your files. This allows the slides to be more easily added into your existing cataloging system. We include this data in XML, JSON, and more.

Digital touch up and dust and scratch removal is available for all orders, even for Kodachrome slides. Please contact us for a quote.

We understand that a pre-made package is not suitable for everyone. If you have special requirements, or just are not sure what package is the best fit for you, please feel free to contact us.

The $99.95 data management fee on the Archive Package is one time across your full project including other formats. For example if you order the Archive Package for slides and VHS tapes you are only charged the $99.95 fee one time.
